The barrier to the Isle of the Lost is down, and the Villain Kids (VKs) have made their way to ACB Toys & Collectibles! And they are finding ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D!
Fans of the Descendants series will love these new dolls. Every movie release, the detail of the dolls seems to get better and better, from facial features to hair to wardrobes and accessories. The look of the initial launch of Descendants 3 Fashion Dolls follows that trend with impressive results (and just looking at the images of the Descendants 2 dolls side by side with the Descendants 3 dolls and you can see what appears to be significant detail enhancements). We have enjoyed collecting all of the Descendants dolls, are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Descendants 3 dolls, and are thrilled to be able to offer them to our customers as well!
There are 7 new fashion dolls initially. They include Mal, Evie, Uma, Audrey, and new to Auradon Prep – Dizzy and Celia, as well as a “Dragon Queen Mal” that is a few dollars more on the suggested retail because of some extra features (and I’ve actually seen Dragon Queen Mal advertised on the Disney Channel, so she could be in demand this holiday season!). The first six dolls are all scheduled to be released in September 2019, with Dragon Queen Mal in October 2019.
Here is a closer look at each of the dolls:
Notably missing is Audrey’s (Maleficent’s) staff and the boys from the film. Carlos had both a Descendants 1 and 2 release, whereas Jay only had his Descendants 1 doll. We were also hoping to see Harry Hook and Gil since they took on a more prominent role in the film. Getting the “parents” of the VKs was never very popular (there was a Maleficent doll, but that was it), but Hades looked like he would have been a good addition as well. And still no love for Doug, even if Evie gave him True Love’s Kiss. There is a 2-pack of Mal and King Ben that we can explore down the road, so maybe there will be a subsequent wave with some of these missing characters yet to come. We can only hope!
