ACB News: G.I. Joe is Gearing up for 2021

After an incredibly frustrating 2020 launch of the new G.I. Joe Classified Series product line, full of shortened orders and sold out items, Hasbro has it’s eyes firmly set on January as the month to catch up on the 2020 releases, as well as the initial 2021 launch. They are also adding in 2020 figures into each launch, so the sold out Roadblock and Scarlett will be rereleased in January along with the new launch of Zartan and Cobra Infantry Trooper, and then the sold out Cobra Commander will be rereleased along with the summer’s big release that includes Flint and Lady Jaye!

Demand was high for G.I. Joe in 2020, with both the normal releases and the exclusive launches all selling out within minutes of them becoming available, and Hasbro reaching out to distributors and admitting that they oversold the product lines and could not fulfill all orders in the timeline originally anticipated. With the new projection of then playing catch up in January, we have high hopes that the figures everyone has been craving will finally reach us and be available.

But, not to bury the lead, Flint and Lady Jaye were originally part of a November 2021 release that also included Major Blood. Those two figures have been accelerated and should be out in June 2021 along with the aforementioned rerelease of Cobra Commander. Major Blood remains on track for the original November release barring any further changes. Flint and Lady Jaye are now both up for pre-order.
