This preview is very hush hush, without any pictures or even a hint of the breakdown of how many figures will come in the set (from when we ordered it to now, the “case” changed from 8 figures to 6, though cases usually have some figures duplicated, so that doesn’t really help with projecting what will be included in the set).
This is another “super secret” deal where we’re allowed to order them as a toy seller, but are not allowed to post them for pre-orders until a later point in time. With DC Multiverse, especially movie launches, the boxes themselves usually are very clear indicating that the toys should not be displayed until a certain date. This largely is to help avoid spoilers for the movie that is coming out, which is entirely understandable.
In my personal opinion, DC Multiverse does a far better job with the movie releases than with the rest of the DC Multiverse waves. The figures seem more detailed, closely resemble the actor or actress from the film, and seem to be a better quality overall. More “collectible” in nature. The traditional DC Multiverse figures are definitely more comic-oriented or animated movie themed, but the detail and quality, in my opinion, doesn’t stand up to the DC Movie releases or even the rival Marvel Legends series. All of that said, that leaves me excited to see what the Shazam toys look like, both in quality and assortment (if it’s like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, the last two releases, there will be four figures and they each come with a Build a Figure part).
Once we have more specific information and can begin accepting pre-orders (or orders depending on when we get our initial inventory), we will post updates to keep our customers apprised.
